Training Our New Puppy! #AlpoDogBiscuit

Alpo recently sent me some brand new Alpo Wholesome Dog Biscuits to sample and review. Our family raises Standard Poodles and our eight week old puppies are begining to learn basic commands. We use dog treats as a reward and our puppies love these dog biscuits!

They certainly have the "drool factor" as little "Olaf" gave these treats two paws up! He eagerly took the Alpo dog biscuit and maintained his interest through a short training session. We began by holding the biscuit just above his nose and then letting him follow it visually as the biscuit was moved up and backward toward the top of his head, while giving the verbal command "sit". As he followed the treat, his bottom automatically went down into a "sit". This earned him the treat which he gobbled eagerly, along with a lot of praise! In just a few repetitions Olaf was sitting on the verbal command for the biscuit! 

In addition to the bag of treats we received to review with our dogs, I tossed another bag into my cart while shopping yesterday! We love that that they are wholesome, affordable, and are for dogs of all sizes. I buy the small dog biscuits for our puppies and the large biscuits for the adult dogs.
